Scope and acceptance
These Terms form the rules for using EtchDeck. If you do not agree, do not create an account or continue using the service. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain unaffected.

Terms
These Terms govern access to and use of EtchDeck, including the website at etchdeck.com, the App, and the browser extension. Creating an account or using EtchDeck means accepting these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Account and credentials
Provide accurate account information and keep passwords, login tokens, email verification codes, and browser-extension API Keys confidential. Notify [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed with your credentials unless applicable law provides otherwise.
Acceptable use
Use EtchDeck only for lawful learning, research, and knowledge management. Do not upload illegal or infringing content, attack or overload the service, bypass official clients or access controls, probe other accounts, distribute credentials, or directly call a non-public EtchDeck API. Unless expressly authorized or permitted by non-waivable law, do not reverse engineer the service. Do not use EtchDeck in a way that harms users, infrastructure, or third-party rights.
User content, rights, and portability
Save or upload text and images only when you created or own them, have permission or a licence, or their use is otherwise allowed by applicable law. You must also follow the source website’s applicable terms. EtchDeck does not grant you rights in third-party content. You retain ownership of your content and grant EtchDeck only the limited permission needed to store, process, sync, display, export, and delete it to provide the service. You remain responsible for the content and should keep portable copies of important data. EtchDeck may reasonably investigate reports of unlawful or infringing content and restrict or remove affected content or accounts where appropriate. Send such reports to [email protected].
Apple subscriptions and billing
Eligible iOS plans use Apple auto-renewable subscriptions. Apple processes purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refund requests under Apple’s rules. Manage or cancel a subscription in Apple Account settings. Deleting an EtchDeck account does not cancel an Apple subscription, and mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Service and plan changes
EtchDeck may update features, plans, prices, capacity limits, compatibility, or technical requirements as the product evolves. Where law or Apple’s rules require notice or consent for a material change, EtchDeck will follow those requirements. Paid access already purchased remains subject to applicable law and Apple’s terms.
Suspension and termination
To the extent permitted by law and when reasonably necessary, EtchDeck may restrict, suspend, or terminate access for a violation of these Terms, nonpayment, suspected security or legal risk, protection of users or the service, or a business adjustment, reorganization, or discontinuation. Notice or an opportunity to export data will be provided when practicable and legally required; urgent protective action may be immediate.
Availability, maintenance, and events beyond control
EtchDeck may be interrupted for scheduled or emergency maintenance, updates, security work, or capacity management. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EtchDeck is not responsible for delay or interruption caused by events beyond reasonable control, including cloud or hosting outages, internet, network or power failures, natural disasters, government action, labor disruption, or widespread cyberattacks.
Disclaimer of warranties
EtchDeck is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EtchDeck makes no express or implied warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, compatible, or error-free, that data will never be lost or corrupted, or that the service will meet any particular purpose or need. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EtchDeck is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business interruption. EtchDeck’s aggregate liability will not exceed the subscription fee actually paid for one billing period of the applicable EtchDeck plan through the channel of purchase immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, excluding taxes and similar government-imposed charges. If no subscription fee was paid for such a billing period, the cap is zero. Nothing excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Applicable law, disputes, changes, and contact
These Terms and any dispute are subject to applicable law. Proceedings may be brought before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law, and mandatory consumer rights and forums are not limited. EtchDeck may publish revised Terms with an updated effective date and will provide any notice required by law.
